Blog Description

A mix of Filipino and American cooking styles and tastes. My boyfriend (The American) and Me (The Filipina) love to cook and share food with friends. We always make sure to purchase fresh produce and quality spices. Also, our passion, motivation, and creativeness inspire us to find different recipes stirring together our two cultures. He's eaten sisig (a pig's ear...) and I got to try meatloaf for the first time. This blog is about the recipes that have come about in our kitchen and the journey along the way.

Szechuan Kung Pao

Another home cooking. The mix was from the Indonesian fest we went a month ago. After tasting those delish food we grab different mix every time we go to Asian market.

This Kung pao mix was easy to make. What you need are --

- Szuchuan Kung Pao mix
- Chopped chicken (bite size)
- roasted peanut or if you prefer cashew nuts is also good
- chili powder (optional if you prefer spicy)
- cornstarch
- Cooking oil

Directions:
Mix cornstarch into chicken. Heat cooking oil. Fry the chicken until cooked. Then, put in the Kung Pao mix and let it simmer for 5-6 minutes.
Serve it with steam rice.

Enjoy!
